This October, we are proud to join forces with Little Greene in their long-standing support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month - a cause that touches so many lives, including those within our own creative community.
For many years, Little Greene has pledged a portion of every tin of paint and roll of wallpaper sold in October to breast cancer charities across Europe. These charities do more than raise funds for research; they also offer a steady hand and a listening ear to those navigating one of life’s toughest journeys. When they invited us to contribute to their 2025 campaign, our answer was an immediate 'yes.
A Meeting of Values
At Jennifer Manners Design, we believe design has the power to make a difference, not just in how spaces look, but in how they feel and what they stand for. As a female-founded design studio, we know the importance of solidarity, support, and raising our voices for causes that matter. Partnering with Little Greene felt like a natural extension of our ethos: combining beauty with purpose.
For this year’s campaign competition, we’ve contributed our Check Mini Matts.
The Story of the Check
The Check pattern is steeped in history. For us, it’s a reminder that good design endures; it’s timeless, adaptable, and endlessly relevant.
Our take on the Check celebrates this classic pattern in a modern way: tonal hues that feel both classic and calm, woven with care on our flatweave looms. But the story doesn’t stop at the design.
Every Mini Matt is made using our award-winning /re/PURPOSE PERFORMANCE fibres, crafted entirely from recycled water bottles. The result is a piece that is:
-
Durable enough to withstand daily life indoors or out.
-
Practical thanks to its bleach-cleanable and moisture-resistant characteristics.
-
Sustainable because made of discarded plastic bottles turned into long-lasting fibres.
In many ways, the Mini Matt mirrors the very essence of Breast Cancer Awareness Month: resilience, transformation, and hope.
More Than a Campaign
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a collective commitment; it is about ensuring that no one walks through treatment alone and knowing that support is available when it’s needed most, and that research continues to move us closer to a future without fear.
By teaming up with Little Greene, we are adding our voice, our craft to this mission. It’s a small gesture, but one we hope carries a big message: when the creative community comes together, the impact can be as enduring as the designs we create.
