The delicate geometric pattern crafted in small bamboo silk dots is characteristic of the Moorish decoration found in the ancient palace of Alhambra in southern Spain. The loop-pile Himalayan wool background creates the illusion of a linear pattern, nodding to the clean and austere plaster walls that became a distinctive feature of the palace. The motif is in loop-pile bamboo silk for a delicate, textural flourish.
Hand-knotted Himalayan wool with bamboo silk (100 knots per square inch); also available in /re/PURPOSE PERFORMANCE fibres

We use Tibetan-style knotting in our hand-knotted rugs which is a specialty of Nepal. In India, our weavers embrace innovation and produce flatwoven, handloom, and hand-knotted rugs in almost any fibre including wools, silks, linens and our rePURPOSE PERFORMANCE fibres.
