Alize, derived from the French alizé, meaning trade wind, brings a sense of movement and exploration to the NAVIGATOR collection. The design centres on a whimsical, flowing scroll border that feels both gentle and familiar, balancing its decorative quality with a timeless simplicity.

Hand-knotted in /sea/SILKE™, Alize uses subtle embossing around the undulating border to create a gentle change in texture and relief. The technique gives definition to the scroll while allowing the surrounding surface to remain calm and understated.

The simplicity of the composition gives the design confidence, while the bold use of colour brings a more contemporary character. The result is a rug that feels classic without being traditional, decorative without being overly ornate, and distinctly at home within the NAVIGATOR collection.

We use Tibetan-style knotting in our hand-knotted rugs which is a speciality of Nepal. In India, our weavers embrace innovation and produce flatwoven, handloom, and hand-knotted rugs in almost any fibre including wools, silks, linens and our /re/PURPOSE PERFORMANCE fibres.
