Beacon

Beacon is a geometric rug centred around a stylised nautical star — a timeless symbol of navigation, direction and discovery. The design is composed in a restrained tonal palette atop a light background, allowing the geometry to emerge through subtle shifts in colour and texture.

A flatwoven background gives Beacon a more relaxed, informal character, while the hand-knotted star and geometric detailing introduce depth and definition. The combination creates an interesting tension between structure and ease, making the rug feel contemporary while remaining rooted in traditional craft.

Hand-knotted using /sea/SILKE™, Beacon brings together the ancient craft of Persian hand-knotting with material innovation. Made predominantly from reclaimed fishing nets and post-consumer waste, /sea/SILKE is a proprietary silk-performance fibre with a soft, fluid handle, subtle lustre and exceptional resilience.

Like its namesake, Beacon is designed to light the way — marrying traditional craftsmanship with a new approach to material innovation and demonstrating how performance, sustainability and sophisticated design can coexist.

For bespoke orders, lead times are quoted upon confirmation of size and construction. All in-stock rugs are shipped and delivered within 2-4 weeks.

All of our rugs are handmade in either Nepal or India where the heritage of rug-weaving is centuries old. Details of the specialities in each location can be found here.

We use Tibetan-style knotting in our hand-knotted rugs which is a speciality of Nepal. In India, our weavers embrace innovation and produce flatwoven, handloom, and hand-knotted rugs in almost any fibre including wools, silks, linens and our /re/PURPOSE PERFORMANCE fibres.
