In a world where noise is constant, quiet can feel like a luxury. At WOW!house 2025, a sanctuary of stillness awaits — crafted with intention, narrative, and deeply layered design. We are thrilled to share our latest bespoke collaboration: the Audio Rug, created for Pirajean Lees’ immersive library, “A440 Hz – Connecting in Silence,” in partnership with Dedar.
At the heart of this sensory-rich space lies a quiet exploration of sound — not simply how it’s heard, but how it’s felt. This ethos resonated deeply with us at Jennifer Manners Design. The Audio Rug translates the ephemeral beauty of sound into something tactile and grounding, using the language of craft.
Handmade in luxurious New Zealand wool with delicate accents of bamboo silk, the rug’s design evokes the elegant rhythm of spherical wavefronts — a nod to the tuning note that begins every concert. Designed by Pirajean Lees, crafted by Jennifer Manners, we translated abstract moiré silk patterns into a visual rhythm that seems to shimmer and pulse with quiet energy.
Set in rich jewel tones, the rug anchors the room with a subtle sense of movement, flowing like sound itself. It’s an artwork underfoot, resonating with the design studio’s narrative philosophy, Dedar’s expressive materials, and a shared love of jazz. More than decoration, it becomes part of a larger dialogue between texture, tone, and emotion.

“Crafting the Audio Rug was about translating the intangible — rhythm, emotion, silence — into something you can feel and come alive beneath your feet. It’s a reminder that craftsmanship isn’t just about how something looks, but how it makes you feel. In this space, the rug doesn’t just sit within the story—it helps tell it.”

This project reflects our ongoing commitment to thoughtful, timeless design, where beauty meets meaning and craftsmanship becomes storytelling. In a space designed to encourage pause and presence, the Audio Rug adds its own whisper to the silence.
“Crafted as an illustration of our ‘A 440Hz’ narrative, the Audio Rug emanates from the centre of our WOW!house library. Positioned directly under the mirrored ceiling, it creates a moment of focus and movement from which the entire library radiates.
Jennifer Manners’ artisans have brought our Chladni-inspired pattern to life; hand-made with the finest materials it embodies the studio’s ethos of narrative design and bespoke craftsmanship. Stories, told beautifully.”
